Anti-EGFR (Ab-1070) Antibody

Generated in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent targets the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase that drives epithelial cell proliferation and is frequently dysregulated in carcinomas of the lung, breast, colon, and head and neck. The antibody is raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of the human EGFR sequence and is supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the antibody binds human EGFR and is suitable for receptor localization studies in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, frozen sections, and cultured cell lines. The unconjugated format lets researchers select secondary reporters of their choice — HRP for chemiluminescence, Alexa Fluor or FITC dyes for fluorescence, or biotin-streptavidin systems — to match their existing detection workflows.

Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes on the receptor improves signal-to-noise when working with samples that may show partial degradation or variable post-translational modification.
