Anti-EGF Antibody [S-134]

A mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, clone S-134, directed against human Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF). It is supplied unconjugated in lyophilised form, with the host species being mouse and the isotype IgG1.

The antibody has been validated for ELISA and is reactive with human samples. It recognises both natural and recombinant human EGF and was raised against purified recombinant human EGF. The product is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and formulated as a lyophilised preparation in 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.2. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C upon delivery, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Reconstitution is with double distilled water; concentration is reconstitution dependent.

Reported cross-reactivity testing indicates that this antibody does not recognise IL-1ß, IL-8, MCAF, TGF-ß or SAA. The epitope is described as Sp2/0-Ag14.
