Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a 6 kDa mitogenic peptide that drives cell proliferation, differentiation, and wound-healing signaling through EGFR binding. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous EGF in both human and mouse samples, supporting translational oncology, dermatology, and stem-cell research workflows.
Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of liquid, the antibody is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Polyclonal specificity provides recognition of multiple epitopes on the mature 53-amino-acid EGF peptide, helpful when studying precursor and processed forms of the growth factor in tissue sections and lysates. Researchers investigating EGFR pathway activation, mucosal repair, or tumor microenvironment signaling can apply this reagent directly to frozen or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections and to standard SDS-PAGE immunoblotting protocols.
Format: vial of 100 µl, unconjugated, ready for pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies in the chosen detection chemistry.
