This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets EFTUD2, a GTP-binding component of the U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein that drives the catalytic phase of pre-mRNA splicing. Raised in rabbit, the antibody is supplied as an unconjugated IgG in a 100 µl vial and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. EFTUD2, also known as U5-116kDa, contributes to the conformational rearrangements underlying spliceosome activation, and altered expression of this factor is investigated in mandibulofacial dysostosis Guion-Almeida type as well as across several solid tumor contexts. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes across the full-length antigen, supporting reproducible detection in cell lysates and on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. For best results, store refrigerated at 4 °C upon arrival; aliquots can be frozen at -20 °C for projects running beyond a few weeks. Because the product is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents selected for chromogenic, chemiluminescent, or immunofluorescence readouts. Provided as a single-use vial, the 100 µl volume is suitable for ten or more blots or several IHC runs depending on dilution. For research use only.
