EFNA1 (Ephrin-A1) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored membrane protein that serves as a ligand for EphA receptor tyrosine kinases, playing key roles in cell-cell communication, boundary formation, angiogenesis, and tumor microenvironment remodeling. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the EFNA1 ligand for detection by Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows.

Raised in rabbit and purified as a polyclonal IgG preparation, the antibody is supplied in a 100 µl volume and is unconjugated, allowing flexible pairing with secondary reporters of the user's choice. It has been validated on Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting translational studies that compare EFNA1 expression across species or model systems, and it is intended for research use only.

EFNA1 is widely studied in oncology for its contribution to invasive migration and vasculogenic mimicry, and in developmental biology for its role in patterning of the embryonic vasculature. Researchers investigating glioma, melanoma, breast carcinoma, or chronic inflammatory angiogenesis frequently probe EFNA1 levels in cell lysates by WB and visualize receptor-ligand localization on fixed cells or tissue sections by IF. For storage, refrigerate on receipt and freeze in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody titer.
