EFNA1 (Ephrin-A1) is a GPI-anchored cell-surface ligand that activates Eph receptor tyrosine kinases, driving cell migration, vascular patterning, and tissue boundary formation. The Antibodies.com Anti-EFNA1 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Ephrin-A1 is a recurring research target in studies of tumor angiogenesis, inflammatory signaling, and epithelial–mesenchymal interactions, where its expression is often tracked in tumor xenografts, endothelial cell cultures, and damaged or remodeling tissues. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the ephrin-A1 extracellular domain, which is useful when working with denatured lysates for WB or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections for IHC.

For Western blot, the antibody can be applied to whole-cell or tissue lysates to resolve the membrane-tethered ephrin-A1 species and any cleaved soluble fragment. For immunohistochemistry, it is used to localize ephrin-A1 expression in tissue sections, supporting studies of vascular remodeling, wound healing, and tumor microenvironment biology. The liquid formulation should be stored refrigerated for routine use; aliquoting is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles if the vial is kept at -20 °C for longer-term storage.
