The eEF2K target, also known as CaMKIII, is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase that phosphorylates eukaryotic elongation factor 2 at Thr56 to throttle translational elongation under energy-stress conditions. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against a peptide epitope in the region of residue G358 and is validated for immunohistochemistry on Human, Mouse, and Rat specimens.

Supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is suited to mapping eEF2K distribution in brain, muscle, and tumor tissue sections where translational control intersects with synaptic plasticity and tumor metabolism research. The unconjugated format lets laboratories pair it with HRP- or biotin-based detection chemistries of their own choosing.

For handling, store refrigerated at 4 °C and protect from light; aliquot upon first use to minimize freeze-thaw cycles of the sodium azide-containing formulation. Polyclonal coverage broadens the range of epitopes recognized across the 725-residue eEF2K sequence compared with monoclonal alternatives, which can be helpful when working with partially degraded archival samples.
