Eukaryotic Elongation Factor 2 Kinase (eEF2K) is a calcium- and calmodulin-dependent kinase whose main substrate is eEF2, which it phosphorylates on Thr56 to slow translational elongation during cellular stress. Because this pathway connects nutrient sensing, calcium signaling, and mTOR activity to protein synthesis rates, eEF2K is studied in cancer metabolism, synaptic plasticity, memory formation, and models of neurodegenerative disease.

This Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µL of a 1 mg/mL stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute for Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. For routine handling, working aliquots can be kept refrigerated at 4 °C; for long-term storage, the vial should remain frozen at -20 °C, with freeze-thaw cycles minimized to preserve antibody activity.

The unconjugated format gives full flexibility to pair the reagent with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin secondaries of choice, supporting chromogenic IHC detection as well as multi-color IF imaging experiments.
