EEF1D (Eukaryotic Translation Elongation Factor 1 Delta) is a subunit of the multi-protein EF-1 complex that delivers aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome during protein synthesis. Beyond its canonical role in translation, EEF1D has been linked to transcriptional regulation, cytoskeletal organization, and oncogenic signaling, which is why the protein is used as a marker in studies of tumor cell proliferation, oxidative stress response, and viral-host interactions.

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the EEF1D target in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. The unconjugated IgG is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl vial, suitable for both short assays and longer multi-step protocols. The polyclonal format increases the chance of recognizing several regions of EEF1D, which is useful when probing post-translational modifications or isoform-specific expression patterns.

Researchers commonly use this antibody to investigate translation factor levels in tumor tissue microarrays, examine cytoplasmic distribution of EEF1D in cultured cell lines by immunofluorescence, and monitor abundance changes under conditions such as heat shock or viral infection. The 50% glycerol cryoprotectant supports frozen storage, and aliquoting on first use is recommended for workflows that span several weeks.
