This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com binds EEF1B2 (Eukaryotic Translation Elongation Factor 1 Beta 2), the ~25 kDa guanine nucleotide exchange factor subunit that reactivates EEF1A during translational elongation. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the antibody is validated for western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling comparative expression studies in cell lines and primary tissue.

Investigators apply the antibody to probe EEF1B2 abundance and subcellular localization in models of cytoskeletal remodeling, oxidative stress response, and oncogenic signaling, contexts where altered elongation factor activity has been linked to proliferative and metabolic phenotypes. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes on the target can improve signal recovery in immunofluorescence imaging when the antigen is partially degraded or conformationally masked within fixed cells.

Aliquot the antibody upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles, refrigerate working aliquots, and protect the unconjugated preparation from light when pairing it downstream with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin labels suited to your western blot membrane or IF imaging protocol. The unconjugated format gives flexibility across labeling chemistries without committing the user to a fixed detection system.
