EEF1A2 (Eukaryotic Translation Elongation Factor 1 Alpha 2) is a GTP-binding protein that delivers aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosome during translation. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated by Antibodies.com, was generated against the EEF1A2 target and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples.

EEF1A2 is normally restricted to heart, skeletal muscle, and neurons, but it is also re-expressed in several solid tumors, which is why reliable detection reagents are useful in oncology and neuroscience research. The reagent is provided as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute directly into blocking or antibody incubation buffers for WB membranes or fixed IHC tissue sections.

Store the vial at -20 °C for long-term stability, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and keep aliquots on ice during use. Because the antibody is polyclonal, it recognizes multiple epitopes on EEF1A2 and is therefore a useful tool when isoform specificity (rather than the closely related EEF1A1) needs to be confirmed by band size on a blot or staining pattern in tissue.
