This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody targets the Early Endosome Antigen 1 (EEA1) protein, a well-characterized Rab5 effector commonly used as a marker of early and sorting endosomes in mammalian cells. It is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 200 µl vial and is validated for Western blot on lysates prepared from Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

EEA1 is a peripheral membrane FYVE-domain protein that tethers early endosomes and supports endosomal tethering and fusion events. Researchers commonly apply this polyclonal reagent in studies of membrane trafficking, autophagy, receptor internalization, and endocytosis workflows, where it yields a band near the predicted molecular weight in immunoblotting. The unconjugated format keeps it compatible with user-selected secondary antibody detection systems and with downstream chemiluminescent or fluorescent WB readouts.

Because EEA1 co-localizes with Rab5-GTP on early endosomes, the antibody is also useful when probing endosomal maturation, signaling downstream of growth factor receptors, and membrane fusion events in primary cultures and established cell lines. For best results, aliquot the reagent upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles, store it according to the data sheet, and pair it with an IgG-compatible secondary appropriate for Western blot.
