Anti-EDD Antibody

Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this rabbit-derived reagent is a polyclonal preparation raised against the EDD protein (also known as UBR5, an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase containing a HECT domain, sometimes referred to as HYD or Hyperplastic discs protein). The antibody is supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µl volume, formulated as Rabbit IgG in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is unconjugated and has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, in this case a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human EDD. Specificity has been validated so that the reagent detects endogenous levels of total EDD protein, and it is recommended for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and, upon receipt, should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
