Ectodysplasin A (EDA) is a type II transmembrane ligand of the TNF family that signals through the EDAR receptor, directing the embryonic development of ectoderm-derived organs including hair follicles, teeth, and eccrine sweat glands. Loss-of-function mutations in the EDA gene cause X-linked hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (XLHED), creating demand for well-characterized immunological tools against this target in developmental biology and genetic disease research.

Antibodies.com provides this anti-EDA polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 100 µl vial format is aliquoted for multiple experiments, and the polyclonal composition enables multi-epitope recognition of the target protein.

Validated for Western Blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), the antibody cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies of EDA-EDAR signaling across species. Store at -20 °C; the glycerol-containing formulation tolerates repeated use, but minimize cycles of freeze-thaw to preserve binding performance. Protect from light when not in use.
