Western Blot detection of Enhanced Cyan Fluorescent Protein (ECFP) tags in cell lysates and tissue homogenates is supported by this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com. ECFP, a cyan-shifted variant of GFP, is commonly fused to proteins of interest as a genetically encoded reporter for expression and localization studies.
The unconjugated reagent is raised in mouse hosts and supplied as a 100 µl volume. As a polyclonal antibody, it binds multiple epitopes across the ECFP sequence, which can improve signal recovery in immunoblotting experiments where fusion proteins may be partially degraded or truncated.
Validated for use with mouse-derived samples, the reagent pairs with anti-mouse secondary antibodies conjugated to HRP, Alexa Fluor, or other reporter enzymes depending on the chosen chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection workflow.
For repeated use, aliquot upon arrival and store refrigerated to minimize freeze-thaw damage to the polyclonal preparation.
