E-cadherin (also known as CDH1 or uvomorulin) is a calcium-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates cell–cell adhesion in epithelial tissues and is one of the most widely studied markers of epithelial integrity. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the cytoplasmic domain of human E-cadherin and is validated across western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows.

The antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologs in addition to human E-cadherin, supporting comparative studies in tissue sections, cultured epithelial monolayers, and lysate-based expression assays. Because it is supplied unconjugated, researchers can pair it with their preferred HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents.

Each vial contains 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, sufficient for multiple western blot membranes and several immunohistochemistry runs depending on dilution. E-cadherin expression is a common biomarker in epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) research, tumor invasion studies, and developmental biology, where loss of membrane staining is interpreted as a sign of disrupted adherens junctions.
