Anti-E-cadherin Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent specifically targets E-cadherin and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL. The antibody was raised in rabbit and affinity-purified from antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen corresponding to the N-terminal region of human E-cadherin, allowing it to detect endogenous levels of the protein. It is provided as an unconjugated, liquid preparation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is validated for ELISA, Western blotting (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. Reactivity has been confirmed against human E-cadherin, making the antibody a suitable primary reagent for studies of epithelial adhesion, the cadherin–catenin complex and epithelial–mesenchymal transition in cell lines and tissue sections. For routine handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody activity.
