Anti-Dyskerin Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Dyskerin, the pseudouridine synthase encoded by the DKC1 gene that catalyzes the isomerization of uridine to pseudouridine in ribosomal RNA and small nuclear RNAs. Dyskerin is also a core component of the telomerase ribonucleoprotein complex, where it binds the telomerase RNA component (TERC) and contributes to telomere stability. Loss-of-function mutations in DKC1 cause X-linked dyskeratosis congenita, and the same pathway is implicated in Hoyeraal-Hreidarsson syndrome, making reliable immunological detection valuable for studies of telomeropathy, ribosome biogenesis, and cancer cell immortalization.

The reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide with 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, delivered in a 100 µl vial.
