Dyrk1A is a dual-specificity protein kinase encoded within the Down syndrome critical region of chromosome 21, where its overexpression contributes to the neurodevelopmental and cognitive features associated with trisomy 21. The kinase also phosphorylates tau and amyloid precursor protein, linking it to Alzheimer's disease research, and has been studied in glioblastoma and other cancers where it influences cell proliferation and survival.

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated antiserum and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. It cross-reacts with Dyrk1A from human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies in rodent models of neurodevelopment as well as patient-derived tissue. Researchers commonly use it to examine Dyrk1A expression and phosphorylation status in brain, neuronal cultures, and tumor specimens.

For western blot, the antibody detects the endogenous kinase band; for IHC and IF, it produces cytoplasmic and nuclear staining patterns consistent with Dyrk1A subcellular distribution. Aliquot on first use to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light for long-term storage.
