Anti-DYKDDDDK Tag Antibody [Flag.C2]

This Mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody from Antibodies.com, clone Flag.C2, recognizes the DYKDDDDK octapeptide epitope commonly fused to recombinant proteins as a FLAG tag. The unconjugated antibody is supplied lyophilised at 100 µg per vial and is validated for western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining workflows on human cells expressing FLAG-tagged constructs.

Because the Flag.C2 epitope is short and linear, binding is retained when the tag is placed at the N-terminus, C-terminus, or within an internal loop of the host protein, making it a versatile reagent for confirming expression of FLAG fusion constructs, affinity capture of tagged complexes, and visualisation of tagged proteins in fixed cell preparations. As an unconjugated reagent, it can be paired with HRP, fluorophores, or biotin in custom detection chemistries.

Reconstitution is performed with sterile PBS or deionised water to a working stock concentration; aliquots of the reconstituted antibody should be stored frozen and thawed only as needed to preserve activity across repeated western blot and immunoprecipitation experiments.
