Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified as a polyclonal reagent, this Antibodies.com primary antibody targets Dual Specificity Phosphatase 6 (DUSP6), also known as MKP-3, PYST1, or MAP kinase phosphatase 3 — a cytosolic ~42 kDa dual-specificity phosphatase that negatively regulates the ERK1/2 MAP kinase pathway. The immunogen corresponds to a synthetic peptide derived from an internal region of human DUSP6, and the antibody has been validated to detect endogenous levels of total DUSP6 protein across human, mouse, and rat samples. It is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated reagent at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), pH ~7.2, containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and is recommended for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. For archival applications, the antibody performs well on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, while on immunoblots it cleanly resolves the 42 kDa DUSP6 band. Recommended starting dilutions are typically WB 1:500–1:1000 and IHC 1:50–1:200, and short-term storage at 4 °C with longer-term aliquoting at –20 °C preserves activity over multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Each lot is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific chromatography, giving >95% purity by SDS-PAGE, and is shipped from the Antibodies.com logistics network with the standard quality guarantee for research-use-only applications in signal-transduction, cancer-biology, and MAPK-pathway studies.
