The DUS2L enzyme, also known as dihydrouridine synthase 2-like, catalyzes the reduction of uridine residues to dihydrouridine within transfer RNA, a post-transcriptional modification that supports translational fidelity in mitochondria. Researchers studying tRNA modification, mitochondrial translation, or RNA biology can use this rabbit polyclonal reagent supplied by Antibodies.com to probe endogenous DUS2L expression in human, rat, and mouse samples by western blot. The unconjugated IgG is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, in a 50 µl vial sufficient for multiple WB experiments. To preserve activity, aliquot the antibody on receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated; working stocks can be kept at -20°C or colder for longer term. Sodium azide acts as a preservative in the buffer formulation. The reagent is intended for research use only and has not been validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
