DUOX1 (Dual Oxidase 1) is a calcium-dependent NADPH oxidase that localizes to the apical membrane of polarized epithelial cells, where it generates hydrogen peroxide used in thyroid hormone biosynthesis, extracellular matrix crosslinking, and mucosal host defense. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the DUOX1 glycoprotein and is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in mouse and rat tissue. The IgG antibody ships as a 100 µl liquid aliquot suitable for probing thyroid follicular cells, airway epithelium, and lung homogenates, where DUOX1 expression has been linked to mucin production, epithelial barrier function, and inflammatory responses to environmental irritants. Polyclonal reactivity allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the full-length oxidase, which is helpful when comparing DUOX1 isoforms in knockout versus wild-type disease models. For handling, refrigerate the working stock and aliquot before freezing to limit freeze-thaw damage to the antibody.
