Deoxythymidylate kinase (DTYMK) is a nucleotide biosynthesis enzyme that phosphorylates dTMP to dTDP, supporting DNA precursor pools in actively dividing cells. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the human DTYMK protein and is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol for direct use in standard immunodetection workflows.
Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the antibody is suited to both denaturing and native sample preparations. Investigators studying nucleotide metabolism, cell cycle regulation, and tumor biology use anti-DTYMK reagents to probe enzyme expression in proliferating tissues and cancer cell lines, where altered dTMP turnover is often linked to proliferation phenotype.
Aliquot on receipt and store at -20 °C to preserve glycerol-stabilized activity; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, which is helpful when detecting endogenous DTYMK across multiple isoforms or post-translational states.
