Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets DTNBP1 (dystrobrevin binding protein 1), a component of the BLOC-1 complex implicated in schizophrenia susceptibility and Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, without Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The vial ships on a cold pack at 4 °C; upon arrival, single-use aliquots should be stored at –20 °C and protected from repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Raised in rabbit against recombinant human DTNBP1 and affinity-purified over the immunogen, the IgG preparation is unconjugated and detects endogenous total DTNBP1 protein. It is validated by Antibodies.com for Western blotting and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human and mouse samples, making it well suited to studies of neuronal and lysosome-related organelle biology. Researchers typically use this reagent to map dysbindin expression in brain tissue and to explore its roles in synaptic function, dopaminergic signalling and vesicle trafficking. As an affinity-purified polyclonal, it offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal, which can be useful when probing post-translationally modified or alternatively spliced forms of the protein. The product is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
