This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets the Dopamine Receptor D1 (DRD1) protein and is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent. DRD1 is the most abundant dopamine receptor subtype in the central nervous system, with strong expression in the striatum, prefrontal cortex, and limbic regions where it mediates reward processing, motor coordination, working memory, and emotional regulation.

The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples, supporting research into neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric conditions such as Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and addiction-related neural circuitry. Because the antibody is unconjugated, investigators can pair it with a chosen secondary reagent and any chromogenic, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent detection platform.

Suggested working dilutions fall between 1:500 and 1:2000 for western blot applications and approximately 1:100 to 1:500 for immunohistochemistry, although each laboratory should titrate against its own sample preparation and fixation protocol. For long-term stability, the antibody is best stored at -20 °C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The polyclonal format increases the probability of recognizing multiple epitopes on DRD1, which is helpful when working with denatured lysates or partially preserved tissue sections.
