Anti-DPYD Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-DPYD polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and targets dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase, the rate-limiting enzyme that initiates pyrimidine catabolism in liver and peripheral tissues. This unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum and has been validated for western blot and ELISA workflows using human, mouse, and rat samples.

DPYD catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of uracil and thymidine and is the principal determinant of 5-fluorouracil clearance, which makes it a focus of oncology research, pharmacogenomic screening, and studies of fluoropyrimidine-related toxicity. Investigators use this reagent to examine DPYD expression in tumor biopsies, hepatocyte models, and cell lines relevant to chemotherapy response and individual drug metabolism.
