Rabbit polyclonal antiserum raised against dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4), a cell-surface serine exopeptidase also known as CD26, expressed on activated T lymphocytes, vascular endothelium, and renal proximal tubule epithelium across human, mouse, and rat tissues. The Antibodies.com reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in a 100 µl vial, formulated in phosphate buffered saline with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated for western blot detection of endogenous DPP4 in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, the polyclonal format engages multiple epitopes within the extracellular catalytic domain, supporting analysis of full-length, shed, or post-translationally modified variants. Because the antibody is unconjugated, laboratories pair it with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents while leaving the primary epitope site accessible.

Apply the antibody to characterise DPP4 expression in pancreatic islet preparations, kidney cortex fractions, splenocyte extracts, and adipocyte lysates where the enzyme contributes to incretin cleavage (GLP-1 and GIP turnover) and T cell co-stimulation. For handling, refrigerate between use, aliquot on arrival, freeze at -20°C in single-use portions, and protect from light. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, keep working dilutions on ice, and discard diluted antibody after the experiment to preserve the sodium azide-stabilised stock.
