This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets DOK7 (Docking protein 7), a cytoplasmic adaptor essential for the formation and maintenance of the neuromuscular junction. DOK7 drives activation of the muscle-specific receptor kinase MuSK, promoting clustering of acetylcholine receptors on the postsynaptic muscle membrane. Loss-of-function mutations in the DOK7 gene are a well-characterized cause of DOK7 congenital myasthenic syndrome, a postsynaptic disorder of neuromuscular transmission.

The reagent is raised in rabbit, isotype IgG, and supplied unconjugated at 200 µL. It is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous DOK7 in human and mouse samples, making it suitable for studies of synaptic signaling, neuromuscular disease modeling, and MuSK pathway characterization. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes across the DOK7 protein, which is useful when probing truncated or mutant variants identified in CMS patients.

Recommended storage at -20 °C in single-use aliquots; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Intended for research use only, including investigation of agrin-induced MuSK phosphorylation and downstream rapsyn recruitment in skeletal muscle lysates.
