Rabbit polyclonal affinity-purified IgG raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide spanning residues 365–414 of human p62 DOK1 (UniProt Q99704, Entrez gene 1796), centered on the Tyr398 phospho-site and recognizing the surrounding modification sequence E-G-Y(p)-E-L. The reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous DOK1 only when tyrosine 398 is phosphorylated and does not cross-react with the non-phosphorylated protein, and it is validated for western blot at a working dilution of 1:500–1:2,000 together with immunohistochemistry on PFA-fixed sections at 1:50–1:100.

Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated liquid antibody at 1 mg/mL in PBS pH 7.4 with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, each vial ships ready to aliquot; the product should be stored at -20°C and freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve phospho-epitope recognition. The target itself is a ~62 kDa membrane-associated adaptor whose Y398 phosphorylation is induced downstream of Src-family kinases and the activated insulin receptor, making this phospho-specific reagent useful for resolving kinase-dependent modification from baseline expression in stimulation time-courses, growth-factor studies, and insulin-resistance models.

Verified reactivity spans human, mouse, and rat samples, consistent with conservation of the Y398 motif across these species. Recommended positive controls are pervanadate- or ligand-stimulated cell lysates such as EGF-stimulated A431 lysates, and a matched total-DOK1 lane should be run in parallel so that changes in phosphorylation can be normalized to overall protein levels rather than to loading or expression differences.
