This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets DOK1 (Docking Protein 1), a 62 kDa adaptor molecule phosphorylated downstream of receptor tyrosine kinases. DOK1 recruits SH2-containing effectors such as RasGAP and Nck, acting as a negative regulator of Ras-MAPK signaling in hematopoietic cells and modulating insulin and growth factor responses. The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum suitable for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples.
Recommended uses include immunoblotting of DOK1 from lymphoid lysates and IHC localization in tissue sections. Aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw events and store refrigerated; for extended stability, freeze at -20 °C in single-use aliquots. The preparation is intended for research use only and supports investigations into B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine responses, and oncogenic transformation pathways where DOK1 functions as a tumor suppressor in chronic myelogenous leukemia models.
