The DOK1 (Docking protein 1) protein is a 62 kDa cytoplasmic adaptor featuring N-terminal Pleckstrin Homology (PH) and Phosphotyrosine Binding (PTB) domains, through which it is recruited to activated receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases to nucleate downstream signaling complexes. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com selectively detects endogenous DOK1 in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western Blot (WB) applications using whole cell lysates and tissue extracts. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid vial and is recommended for storage at -20 °C in small working aliquots to preserve reactivity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the vial should be brought to room temperature and briefly centrifuged before each use to recover the full volume. DOK1 is well-characterized as a negative regulator of signaling cascades downstream of the T-cell receptor, B-cell receptor, and insulin receptor, as well as a modulator of Ras/MAPK pathway output, making this reagent useful for studies of immune cell activation, growth factor signaling, and cytoplasmic scaffolding by the DOK family of docking proteins. The product is supplied in a research use only format and is affinity-purified for batch-to-batch consistency in immunoblotting workflows.
