This polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and selectively recognizes the Dok-1 docking protein only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 362, a residue modified downstream of activated receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases. In western blot and immunofluorescence workflows, the reagent detects the modified target in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting research on signaling cascades linked to immune cell activation, insulin response, and receptor-driven negative feedback. The unconjugated Ig fraction is provided in a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, allowing direct labeling or use with a secondary detection reagent without prior purification.

For western blot, the antibody is applied to membranes carrying resolved cell or tissue lysates; for immunofluorescence, it is incubated with fixed cells to localize phospho-Dok-1 within subcellular compartments. The polyclonal format improves recognition of the phospho-Y362 epitope across isoforms and orthologs, while cross-reactivity against non-mammalian species has not been formally characterized by the supplier. For handling, the vial should be stored at -20°C in working aliquots to preserve phospho-specific binding activity, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to protect the paratope against the azide-containing buffer.
