DNTT (terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase, TdT) is a template-independent DNA polymerase best known for catalyzing N-nucleotide additions during V(D)J recombination in immature lymphoid cells. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against DNTT and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl volume, ready for routine western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers commonly apply it to characterize lymphoblastic leukemias and to study lymphoid development, because DNTT expression is largely restricted to early B- and T-cell precursors, prolymphocytes, and a subset of thymic cortical cells. Aliquots should be stored refrigerated and protected from light to preserve activity of the azide/glycerol formulation across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
