This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets DNAL4, a dynein axonemal light chain component that assembles into the outer dynein arm of motile cilia and flagella. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, the reagent is validated for western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of ciliary motility, axoneme assembly, and respiratory epithelial cell biology.

Supplied as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, the antibody binds the DNAL4 target on immunoblots under standard reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. The azide inhibits microbial growth in the vial; for downstream applications that require azide-free buffer, exchange into a suitable formulation before use. Store the vial refrigerated at 4°C for short-term handling, aliquot and freeze at -20°C for longer-term stability, and protect from light and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

DNAL4 contributes to the outer dynein arm shared by motile respiratory, nodal, and flagellar axonemes, the same compartment compromised in primary ciliary dyskinesia and related ciliopathies such as situs inversus and chronic sinopulmonary infection. Researchers use this reagent to track DNAL4 abundance in tissues such as tracheal epithelium, testis, and brain, to monitor its incorporation into the dynein complex, and to compare expression between wild-type and knockout mouse models in research use only workflows that co-immunoblot DNAL4 alongside axonemal heavy and intermediate chain partners.

The unconjugated polyclonal format is provided in a single 100 µl vial and pairs with a secondary anti-rabbit IgG-HRP conjugate for chemiluminescent western blot visualization. Each lot is quality-controlled for specificity toward the target peptide sequence.
