Supplied by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human DNA polymerase alpha (DNA pol α), enabling detection of endogenous levels of the target protein. The IgG antibody is offered at a 50 µl pack size as an unconjugated liquid formulation supplied in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, with a protein concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL. It is validated for use in Western Blot (WB) and ELISA applications and has been confirmed to react with human samples, making it suitable for studies of DNA replication and cell proliferation in relevant model systems. Validation data on the supplier page includes a Western Blot performed on Jurkat cells, supporting its use in standard immunoblotting workflows. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. As an unconjugated primary antibody, it can be paired with the user's choice of secondary reagents, such as HRP-, FITC-, biotin- or AP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG secondaries, depending on the detection method. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications, this polyclonal reagent provides a reliable tool for laboratories investigating the catalytic subunit of DNA polymerase alpha.
