DLGAP5 (Discs Large Homolog Associated Protein 5) is a microtubule-associated protein that localizes to centrosomes and the mitotic spindle, where it stabilizes kinetochore fibers during cell division. This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the human DLGAP5 target and is supplied unconjugated in a 50 µl vial, validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human samples.

Also referenced in the literature as HURP or DLG7, DLGAP5 is a substrate of Aurora A kinase that accumulates at the plus-ends of spindle microtubules during prometaphase and supports proper bipolar spindle assembly. Investigators working on hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, lung adenocarcinoma, gliomas, and other proliferative disorders use anti-DLGAP5 reagents to track proliferative indices, count mitotic figures in tissue sections, and examine subcellular localization in dividing cells by IF. The unconjugated format pairs cleanly with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for chromogenic or fluorescence readouts.

Because DLGAP5 expression rises specifically in actively cycling cells, the reagent complements other proliferation markers such as cyclins, Ki-67, phospho-histone H3, and Aurora kinases in cell-cycle entry and mitotic checkpoint studies. Each vial is provided at a working concentration that can be further diluted in Tris-buffered or PBS-based diluents to fit standard immunodetection protocols, and the antibody is intended for research use only.
