Anti-DLAT Antibody

DLAT (dihydrolipoamide S-acetyltransferase) is the E2 subunit of the mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, the 70 kDa autoantigen recognized in autoimmune liver disease research and the enzyme that channels pyruvate-derived acetyl groups into the TCA cycle via coenzyme A. This mouse IgG monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is directed against DLAT and supplied as 100 µl of affinity-purified antibody in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, and 0.2% sodium azide.

Validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry, and immunoprecipitation on human and mouse samples, the antibody detects the expected ~69 kDa DLAT band on immunoblots of cell lysates and produces a characteristic mitochondrial-pattern signal in immunocytochemistry. The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents or direct labeling for custom detection chemistries, and the IgG isotype is compatible with standard Protein A and Protein G pull-down steps in immunoprecipitation.

For routine handling, store the vial at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw exposure; short-term use at 4 °C is acceptable. Sodium azide interferes with copper-catalyzed click chemistries and live-cell conjugation, so aliquots intended for those workflows should be dialyzed or buffer-exchanged first. The reagent is intended for research use only in studies of mitochondrial metabolism, metabolic reprogramming in cancer, neurodegeneration models including Friedreich ataxia, and thiamine deficiency, where pyruvate dehydrogenase flux is disrupted.
