This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets DKC1 (dyskerin), the pseudouridine synthase that anchors the catalytic RNA component of the telomerase holoenzyme and stabilises H/ACA small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl aliquot, it supports Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on samples derived from human, mouse, and rat tissues.

Researchers studying telomere maintenance, ribosome biogenesis, and the molecular pathology of X-linked dyskeratosis congenita use this reagent to localise dyskerin within nucleoli and Cajal bodies and to track changes in expression across transformed cell lines. Published studies have also linked elevated DKC1 levels to aggressive tumour behaviour in several carcinomas, so the antibody is frequently applied to tumour microarrays and patient-derived xenografts when screening for prognostic markers.

For best results, dilute according to your detection system and titrate against a positive control known to express dyskerin, such as HeLa or HEK293 lysates. The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents of the user's choice, giving flexibility across chromogenic, fluorescence, and multiplexed imaging platforms.
