Product Details | Antibodies.com

Raised in rabbit against the diaphanous-related formin DIAPH2, this polyclonal primary antibody is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for western blot detection of the target in human, mouse, and rat samples.

About the Target
DIAPH2 (Diaphanous Related Formin 2, also called mDia3) belongs to the formin family of cytoskeletal regulators. Through its FH2 domain it nucleates and elongates actin filaments, supporting cytokinesis, stress fiber assembly, and dynamic remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton. Published studies have linked DIAPH2 to oocyte maturation and meiotic spindle organization, and germline variants in the gene have been associated with premature ovarian insufficiency and with the DFNA1 locus for autosomal dominant sensorineural hearing loss.

Reactivity and Use
This reagent has been validated for western blot on human, mouse, and rat samples. Because it is provided unconjugated, it can be paired with secondary antibodies carrying HRP, fluorophore, or biotin reporters, depending on the downstream assay workflow.

Format and Storage
Shipped as 100 µl of liquid stock in a vial. Store refrigerated and aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles, protecting long-term binding activity. Intended for research use only.
