This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets DIAPH1 (Diaphanous Related Formin 1), a member of the formin protein family that drives actin filament nucleation and elongation. DIAPH1 carries conserved FH1 and FH2 domains along with an N-terminal GTPase-binding region and a C-terminal diaphanous autoregulatory domain (DAD), supporting its roles in cytoskeletal remodeling, stress fiber formation, cell migration, and cytokinesis. The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl vial, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

DIAPH1 has been associated with autosomal-dominant non-syndromic hearing loss (DFNA1) and with a rare platelet disorder marked by enlarged, abnormally shaped platelets, making this antibody useful in studies of cytoskeletal dynamics, auditory biology, and hematology. The polyclonal nature of the reagent increases the chance of recognizing multiple epitopes across the target, which can be helpful when probing isoforms or post-translational modifications in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

For reliable performance, keep the vial refrigerated and protect from repeated freeze-thaw cycles; aliquoting is recommended for long-term storage. Each preparation is quality-controlled to support reproducible detection of endogenous DIAPH1 in research use only applications.
