This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the DIAPH1 protein (also called mDia1), a ~150 kDa formin-family actin nucleator that acts downstream of Rho GTPases to drive stress fiber assembly, filopodia formation, and cytokinesis. The reagent is a rabbit IgG raised against the human/mouse DIAPH1 sequence and is supplied as an unconjugated, liquid formulation in a 50 µl vial, ready for direct labeling or use in standard immunodetection workflows.

Validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence, the reagent resolves DIAPH1 localization to the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal, which is useful when probing DIAPH1 across multiple species or comparing isoforms in primary cells and tissue lysates. Reactivity with both human and mouse samples supports comparative work between murine disease models and patient-derived material.

DIAPH1 is a research focus in cytoskeletal biology, auditory research (mutations in the gene underlie DFNA1, an autosomal dominant form of progressive hearing loss), and platelet biology, where variants are linked to macrothrombocytopenia and altered cytoskeletal mechanics. As a primary antibody, it can be paired with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagents on whole-cell lysates, formalin-fixed sections, or cultured cells. Store refrigerated and minimize freeze-thaw cycles; aliquoting on first use is recommended for long-term storage.
