Anti-DIABLO Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG from Antibodies.com targets human DIABLO (Smac), a mitochondrial pro-apoptotic protein released into the cytosol during intrinsic apoptosis. There it displaces inhibitor of apoptosis proteins such as XIAP from caspase-3, caspase-7, and caspase-9, restoring proteolytic activity and driving programmed cell death. Researchers use it for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry studies of cancer, neurodegeneration, and immune signaling pathways.

Provided as 200 µL of ready-to-dilute reagent. Typical western blot loading of 20 to 40 µg whole-cell lysate resolves the mature DIABLO band near 25 kDa; suggested starting dilution range is 1:500 to 1:2000 in blocking buffer. For immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, use at 1:50 to 1:200 with antigen retrieval. For flow cytometry, stain permeabilized cells at 1:50 to 1:200.
