DHRSX (Dehydrogenase/Reductase SDR Family Member, X-linked) is an X-chromosome-encoded member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily, investigated for its putative NAD(P)-dependent oxidoreductase activity and its evolutionary context within the sex chromosome region. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit, affinity-purified, and validated for use on human samples in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a standard vial, intended for research use only. Optimal working dilutions should be determined empirically against the user's own lysate or fixed-tissue preparations, and secondary antibody selection should match the detection chemistry of the chosen platform. Reported expression of DHRSX in testis, brain, and several endocrine tissues makes appropriate positive controls important when working with novel sample types.

For handling, aliquot the reagent upon first thaw to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store the working stock at -20°C; short-term storage at 4°C is acceptable for liquid prepared for immediate use. The reagent has not been validated by the manufacturer for flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, or for species outside of the listed human reactivity, so cross-reactivity with rodent orthologs should not be assumed without independent verification.
