Anti-DEFB4 Antibody

Raised against beta-defensin 4 (DEFB4), an epithelial antimicrobial peptide central to innate mucosal defense, this rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples. DEFB4 is strongly induced by inflammatory cytokines and microbial challenge, and is a frequent readout in studies of host defense, skin inflammation, respiratory mucosal responses, and gut barrier biology.

The polyclonal format supports recognition of multiple epitopes on the mature ~4 kDa peptide as well as its precursor forms, broadening the window of detection in tissue lysates and cultured cell-line extracts. As an unconjugated primary antibody, the reagent integrates readily with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary systems.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.
