DDX58, better known as RIG-I, is a cytoplasmic DExD/H-box RNA helicase that acts as a frontline pattern recognition receptor in innate antiviral immunity, sensing 5'-triphosphate viral RNA and triggering MAVS-dependent signaling that drives type I interferon production. This unconjugated Rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com binds the human DDX58 protein and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, and immunofluorescence microscopy. Packaged as 100 µl of liquid, the reagent is intended for research use only and is suited to studies of RIG-I/MAVS signaling, viral restriction, and the cellular response to RNA virus infection, including immunoblotting of lysates from infected or poly(I:C)-transfected cells and visualization of RIG-I relocalization to mitochondrial and peroxisomal membranes upon innate immune activation.
