DDX58, also known as RIG-I, is a cytosolic DExD/H-box RNA helicase and one of the principal pattern-recognition receptors that drives type I interferon signaling during RNA virus infection through the MAVS adaptor. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets DDX58 for research use only and supports immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (approximately pH 7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. The polyclonal preparation recognizes the native protein in cell culture lysates and fixed cellular preparations, making it useful for monitoring endogenous expression, validating knockout or knockdown efficiency, and visualizing subcellular distribution during viral challenge experiments or stimulation with synthetic RNA ligands such as poly(I:C).

Investigators working on antiviral innate immunity, IRF3 and NF-κB activation downstream of MAVS, or virus-induced interferon responses in epithelial, fibroblast, or myeloid models will find this reagent a practical tool. Aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated for routine use.
