RIG-I, encoded by the DDX58 gene, is a cytoplasmic pattern recognition receptor that initiates innate antiviral signaling upon binding to viral double-stranded RNA. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation, supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot for western blot workflows on human and mouse samples.
From Antibodies.com, the antibody recognizes endogenous DDX58 protein, allowing detection in cell lysates and tissue extracts where antiviral responses are being characterized. Because the reagent is unconjugated, laboratories can pair it with their own HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies, supporting flexible immunoblotting setups across different detection chemistries.
Researchers investigating RNA virus sensing, type I interferon signaling, and innate immune activation can use this reagent to probe DDX58 expression and its post-transcriptional regulation in relevant infection and disease models.
