DDX3 (also known as DDX3X) is an ATP-dependent DEAD-box RNA helicase that participates in translation initiation, stress granule assembly, mRNA splicing, and innate immune sensing. Because it is a cofactor for several viral replicases and is frequently deregulated in cancer and X-linked neurodevelopmental disorders, antibodies against DDX3 are standard tools in molecular cell biology and translational research.

The Anti-DDX3 (6G8) Antibody from Antibodies.com is a mouse monoclonal antibody supplied as a 100 µl purified preparation in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. Clone 6G8 is provided in unconjugated form for direct incorporation into western blot, immunocytochemistry, and immunoprecipitation workflows, and has been validated for reactivity against human, mouse, and rat DDX3, supporting comparative studies across cultured mammalian cell lines and primary tissue samples.

In practical use, this reagent is commonly applied to track DDX3 redistribution to cytoplasmic stress granules under oxidative or translational stress, to assess overexpression in hepatocellular carcinoma, medulloblastoma, and KRAS-mutant lung tumour models, and to immunoprecipitate endogenous helicase complexes for downstream mass spectrometry. Laboratories investigating flavivirus and HIV replication, as well as the sex-biased intellectual disability phenotypes linked to DDX3X loss-of-function mutations, also rely on clone 6G8 for both IP and ICC-based target verification.
