Decorin, encoded by the DCN gene, is a small leucine-rich proteoglycan abundant in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues, where it regulates collagen fibril assembly and interacts with TGF-β signaling pathways. The Antibodies.com Anti-DCN polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µL vial, ready for use in western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows against human, mouse, and rat samples.

This reagent supports studies of fibrosis, tumor microenvironment biology, wound repair, and extracellular matrix remodeling. Researchers commonly apply it to detect the core decorin protein and its processed fragments in cell culture lysates, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and adherent cell monolayers. As a polyclonal reagent, it recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which can be useful when probing truncated or post-translationally modified decorin species that arise from proteolytic cleavage in diseased or remodeling tissues.

Aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C in working volumes; the unconjugated format allows direct labeling with fluorophores or HRP depending on the secondary detection strategy chosen for each application. Each lot is validated by Antibodies.com for the listed species reactivity, giving confidence in cross-tissue comparisons that pair human biopsy material with rodent model samples within the same experiment.
